Description
Comprehensive renovation of an old house, adapting the interior spaces according to the needs. The façade has been restored, preserving its original features and enhancing the textures.
From an old house with the typical typology of the houses in the center of Granollers, its comprehensive reform has been started so that, while taking advantage of its volume, a reconsideration of the interior spaces has been produced that adapts to the needs of the property.
In this sense, a garage has been arranged at street level internally connected to the general hall space of the house. From this hall in which the original pavement is recovered and a section of rock wall is accessed to a large dining room-kitchen-living room with direct access to the garden at the back in which respects the 'existence of an old palm tree.
From the hall access space in this day area, there is an open staircase that connects the ground floor with the two levels of the upper floors.
These upper floors have two bedrooms and a bathroom for each of both levels.
The building is finished with a roof and a roof that collect the pre-existences of the original house. The facade has been arranged by collecting the characteristic features of the original house while enhancing with the most appropriate color and textures.
Internally, the remodeled spaces have been imposed only by respecting the original structure. The intervention has updated the facilities, drainage network and reinforcement of the structure.
At a functional level, the layout of the spaces, as explained, give absolute autonomy and independence to the users of the house, the meeting point being the day area on the ground floor and its outdoor patio.
The property, once the work is finished, and fully installed in the home, has expressed its satisfaction in the day-to-day use of its home.
