Teià, Barcelona
It is located within a property with an old dwelling. It has autonomy, with a dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and pool. Its integration with the garden provides it with versatility of use.
Within the scope of a farm with a house from the time of the Indians, a pavilion for guests has been arranged linked to the main house, but with the functional and spatial autonomy that allows, in practice, to institute- It is like a complete house with a porch and an outdoor garden with a swimming pool.
The building has a dining-living room with an associated exterior porch that allows the use of dining outside, without prejudice to the more common indoor use.
It also has a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom facing the main exterior, all parts, except for the bathroom that ventilates through the rear facade.
With some earthworks that are not too important, it has been possible to define the settlement area of the house and the settlement area of the swimming pool, so that with a friendly morphology, both levels coexist.
The treatment of the grass that is laid out like a carpet that physically joins the spaces of the pool and the pavilion, enhances their image and emphasizes the use of each space, at the same time, interrelated with each other.
The exterior treatment of the building is simple, with a hipped roof that allows the built height to be lowered, so that the overall volume does not encroach on the garden and forest space up the mountain within the property itself. And, likewise, its volume does not stand out compared to the manor house, nor to the area of its garden with the nearest swimming pool.
The functionality of this building allows sufficient space for family celebrations and/or other social events.
